The Hiker everything the active family needs to hit the trail - ultra lightweight, durable, water resistant, and infinitely adjustable.

Why it's better than a typical frame pack:

• Keeps your center of gravity close to the core of your body for better balance so that you can maneuver the terrain with ease. Frame packs seat the baby high and away from your body, throwing you off balance, hanging up on trees, and causing back pain.
• No complicated adjustment gadgets to impede a proper fit, so get the right fit every time and you can easily transfer the baby to another person without readjusting the whole carrier.
• More comfortable for baby, and can be used with a newborn. Body of the carrier creates a full seat for your child, rather than a divided narrow shelf. Sleeping hood and lack of frame allows your child to snuggle up to you instead of bobbing and sliding around with an unsupported head and neck.
• No need to carry a water bottle or chase down your hiking partner for a drink! The Hiker comes with an insulated water reservoir so you can carry your own drinking water and walk at your own pace with your hands free to hold your hiking poles... or the dog leash!
• Water reservoir can serve to control the temperature of the carrier. Put ice water in it to help keep you & baby cool, use warm water in winter to heat you up! The neoprene sleeve will protect baby from extreme temperatures and keep your water at the right temperature longer!
• Much lighter than a frame pack! Why carry extra weight?

Safety features specifically for active parents:

• Reflective tape on cargo flap for night time and rescue visibility.
• Whistleloc buckle on sternum strap provides a whistle for use in bear country or to alert others in the event of an emergency

• Black packcloth straps, 3 5/8", with Internal X™

• 20" of 1/2" thick fleece in shoulders

• 3/8" non-toxic closed cell foam padding in waist, through body of carrier, extending 3.5" on either side of the body in the straps.

• Ripstop nylon reinforcement in shoulder straps

• Ripstop nylon interior layer

• Black microsuede lining (buttery soft and wicking for baby)

• Xalt waterproof breathable outer and hydration (in Chinchilla, Jungle Green, and Mallard Blue) pocket (gusseted - just like the regular version

• 50 oz EVA water reservoir with neoprene insulation sleeve for reservoir and neoprene tube insulator

• 1" reflective strip on pocket flap for night time visibility

• Chest belt of flatweave nylon, can also be used to make body narrower for smaller babies.

• Clip on chest belt contains safety whistle in case of emergency
